The Shining Jewel Of A Gentile's Faith (Mark 7:24-32)
March 17, 2013 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Mark
Scripture: Mark 7:24–32
In Mark 7:24-30 we are confronted with a fabulous example of faith from a gentile woman from the region of Tyre. We see in this narrative the sharp contrast between the stubborn unbelief of the Jewish leadership and the humble faith of a woman who trusted not in her identity, but in the goodness of her Lord. This beautiful account serves as an example of how one becomes truly clean before God. True cleanliness and right relationship with God comes not through external ritualism taught by the Pharisees, but from faith alone in Jesus.
