Living by Faith in the Son of God (Galatians 2:20 - 21)
June 16, 2013 Preacher: Bob DeWaay Series: Galatians
Scripture: Galatians 2:20–21
There are several very important, but not easy to understand issues in the passage that we cover in this sermon. The first is: what does it mean that Christ lives in me? Stated another way, how can Jesus Christ have bodily ascended to heaven where He ever lives to make intercession for us and yet Paul says "Christ lives in me"? False answers to that question have harmed many people. Bob explains how and what the answer is. The second key point is that faith needs an object. What does it mean to have faith in the Son of God? We then explain how the love of God is revealed through the cross and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally, we warn of the danger of "nullified grace", explaining how adding works to grace "nullifies" grace.
