True Children of Abraham Believe -- Justification by Faith (Galatians 3:6-9)
Scripture: Galatians 3:6–3:9
Paul emphasizes justification by faith. He uses the example of Abraham found in Genesis 15:6 to prove this key doctrine. Corporate solidarity with Abraham shows that believers, not just genetic descendants, of Abraham are justified. Those who have the same faith as Abraham are reckoned righteous as he was. Bob also explains the significance of John 8 in regard to a serious dispute between Jesus and the Jewish leaders about who is legitimately a "son of Abraham". Bob explores the passage in Galatians in regard to a high view of Scripture: Scripture speaking is God speaking.
