In this sermon we explain the Biblical understanding of the local church. This message shows what is and is not important concerning the practices of the local church. We begin with exegesis of Acts 2:40-42. This includes how one is added to the local church and means of grace. We point out how essential it is that our preaching includes the gospel itself and the announcement of the terms for the forgiveness of sins. We then show the relationship of the church and her message the truth of God and its sanctifying power. We end with an explanation of some implications of a key "one another" section in Colossians.
