For Whose Glory Are You Living? (Mark 11:15-21)
March 16, 2014 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Mark
Scripture: Mark 11:15–21
In Mark 11:15-21 we witness Jesus casting out the money changers from the temple. Jesus was very angry at the Jewish leadership for taking the court of the Gentiles (which was already excluded from the temple proper)and turning it into a market place. Israel had been created by God to be a light to the nations (Isaiah 42:6), and the temple was to be a house of prayer for all the nations -- not just for Israel (Isaiah 56:7). In this lesson we learn how evil it is to build barriers that unnecessarily keep people from coming to God through the gospel so that they may see His true power and glory.
