Hard Hearts Stumble Over the Stone Laid in Zion (Mark 12:1-12)
May 11, 2014 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Mark
Scripture: Mark 12:1– 1:12
In Mark 12:1-12 Jesus rebukes Israel's leadership by telling a parable in which they are compared to wicked vine-growers who were placed in charge of God's vineyard. Jesus explains that these leaders were just like the leaders of the past who always murdered the prophets of old. The take away for us is to remember to submit to God's ordained spokesmen -- the apostles and prophets. If we will not submit to these men who wrote the Scriptures, we will be like the wayward leaders of Israel who became authorities to themselves!
