From Alienation to Reconciliation to Glory
October 5, 2014 Preacher: Bob DeWaay Series: Colossians
Scripture: Colossians 1:23–24
This passage describes the glory of being reconciled to God and presented blameless before Him. We need to be honest about the depth of sin we were in so we see clearly the glory of the gospel. We were not merely noble minded by-standers; we were hostile enemies to the only true God. We cannot rightly be neutral toward Jesus. Pilate tried to be but was forced to make a decision. Our passage also includes a warning to not shift from the hope of the gospel. We end with the universal call of the gospel.
