In Mark 15:21-32 we examine how Jesus was crucified "outside the gates" in order to remove the sins of believers. We look at how Jesus fulfilled the typology of the Scapegoat that removed the sins of Israel once a year on the day of atonement. Finally, we examine how Jesus' refusal of wine offered to Him by the Roman soldiers was in order to keep the promise that He would not drink of the "fruit of the vine" until He would drink anew with us in the coming kingdom (14:25). Come and hear how Jesus suffers for our sake.
