The Rich Man and Lazarus
June 21, 2015 Preacher: Adam Olean Series: Luke
Scripture: Luke 16:14-31
Jesus warns the Pharisees that unless they heed the warnings of Scripture and repent from their willful rebellion against God and his law, they will be cut off from Abrahamic blessing and face everlasting torment. He upholds both the necessity and the sufficiency of Scripture to warn sinners of damnation and to instruct them in salvation. Consequently, every man, woman, or child who is not dead and buried has no greater testimony concerning the hereafter than what God has revealed in his inscripturated Word.
