Who Really Is the King? A Study in the Significance of Jacob and Esau’s Seed (Genesis 25:21-23)
Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Genesis Scripture: Genesis 25:21-23
In this topical sermon we examine the biblical significance of the firstborn child being given the father’s inheritance rights. We will see that Christmas was the time when God sent forth His ultimate “Firstborn,” with all the inheritance rights, in order to be a substitute for His elect so that we might be God’s firstborn as well. We also examine why it was significant that the Messiah, the ultimate king, would come from the lineage of Jacob rather than Esau. Come and hear for yourself who really is the ultimate king of the world.
