God has provided His Son Jesus Christ as our great High Priest. We have access to Him and can confess our sins to Him directly. The Bible tells us that we need to trust God rather than man. God is always true to His holy nature of being faithful and just. We can always rely on His promises because God cannot lie. Pagan 'gods’ are fickle, capricious and do not care for us. God always keeps His promises and will forgive and cleanse repentant sinners.
