The Resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-11)
March 27, 2016 Preacher: Bob DeWaay Series: 1 Corinthians
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
This passage lays out the essential truths of the gospel. Paul describes the earliest confession of the church by a series of statements which begin with “that”. The truths are about the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The Corinthian church likely mocked Paul and called him “untimely born”. He took their insult and turned it around to show how he really is an apostle directly appointed by Christ. Paul also said that if Christ was not raised, the Christian faith is “empty”. But Christ is raised so we must believe in Him and be saved.
