Saved by Faith, Not by Ritual (Romans 4:9-12)
May 1, 2016 Preacher: Eric Douma
Scripture: Romans 4:9-12
In this message from Romans 4:9-12 we examine how a person is saved by faith and not by any ritual. Rituals like circumcision, the Lord’s Supper, and baptism are used by God to point to the reality of salvation through Messiah. Rituals were never intended by God to be “salvific” in and of themselves. From Paul’s teaching in these verses we can conclude that salvation is for both the circumcised (Jew) and the uncircumcised (Gentile). Come and hear the proper relationship between rituals and the reality to which they point.
