In this topical sermon we explore Paul’s warnings about how the Corinthian congregation was abusing the Lord’s Supper. We learn that the “examine yourself” passage in 1 Corinthians 11:28 has nothing to do with self-introspection in which a Christian determines if they are good enough for the communion table. The warning is instead about how we treat the corporate body of Christ. Paul makes it very clear that every believer purchased by the blood of Christ should have access to the table of the Lord.
