The Conviction Needed to Fight for the Faith (1 Timothy 1:18-20)
November 25, 2018 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: First and Second Timothy
Scripture: 1 Timothy 1:18-20
In this message taken from 1 Timothy 1:18-20 we learn about the inner conviction needed to contend for the truth of the gospel. Paul instructs Timothy to “hold firmly to faith and a good conscience” in order to fight for the faith. We conclude from this that every believer must hold firmly to faith alone in Christ alone if we are going to fight the good fight for the gospel as well. We examine how Evangelicals depart from faith alone in Christ alone in four different ways. Come and hear for yourself what it means to hold firmly to the faith.
