Immanuel: Matthew 1:21-23
December 22, 2019 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Topical
Scripture: Matthew 1:21-23
In this message we examine the virgin birth of Christ as recounted in Matthew’s gospel. I disprove critics who claim that the prophecy of Immanuel, originally predicted in Isaiah 7:14, was fulfilled only in Isaiah’s day. I prove that only Jesus Christ could fulfill all of the parameters set out in Isaiah for the child nicknamed “Immanuel.” We also examine why it was necessary for God to send His Son through the virgin in order to save His people. Come and hear for yourself why there is only one person that could ever fulfill what Isaiah predicted concerning the Immanuel child.
