Living for God’s Reward, Not Man’s: Matthew 6:1-4
September 11, 2022 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Matthew
Scripture: Matthew 6:1–4
In this message taken from Matthew 6:1-4 we learn that we must perform our good works in order to be seen and rewarded by God rather than men. We learn in this section of the Sermon on the Mount how the hypocrites in Jesus’ day would give in order to be seen by men. Jesus explains that this leads to a temporary reward from men here and now. On the other hand, the person who gives to be noticed only by God will be given reward that is eternal. Come and hear for yourself why you should live to please God and have His reward rather than living to please men.
