In this message, taken from Matthew 12:15-21, we learn from Matthew that Jesus is the fulfillment of Isaiah 42:1-4. Matthew sees in Christ a suffering servant who is merciful and meek in the face of great opposition from the Pharisees.

From this we learn to be long-suffering and merciful as well. We also learn that although Jesus was rejected by the Pharisees, He was God the Father’s chosen servant to bring salvation.
