In Jesus' message to the church at Pergamum we see just how devastating sexual sin can be to people who fall into it and don't repent. The church at Pergamum may have succumb to the desire to placate the culture by engaging in feasts dedicated to false gods and by engaging in sexual immorality with temple prostitutes. In this message we find that Jesus promises that He alone must be feared because He alone has all power over eternal life and death. We learn that sexual sin uniquely unites the physical body that belongs to Christ for the purpose of resurrection to the demonic ruled age that yields only death.
