Christ's Address to the Church of Laodecia (Revelation 3:14-22)

Speaker: Eric Douma Series: Revelation - Eric Douma Scripture: Revelation 3:14-22

In Revelation 3:14-22 we witness Jesus' address to the church in Laodicea. In this address, Jesus rebukes the Christians in Laodicea for being lukewarm which meant they were "good for nothing." This "lukewarm" title that Jesus uses for the Laodiceans was a play on their own water supply which was lukewarm and disgusting. The reason for their poor status in Jesus' eyes was the fact that the majority didn't view Christ as exceptional. The Laodiceans, like those at Colossae, more than likely began with Christ for a time in their lives but quickly deserted Him for other deities and even angels that were supposedly able to protect and provide for them. Come and hear why Jesus must be not only our Savior, but how He must also be trusted as our provider in our daily lives.
