The stories of the blind beggar and that of Zaccheus are bookends that reveal Jesus' compassion in saving social outcasts. Zaccheus was hated by those in Jericho but was highly honored that Jesus chose to go to his house. The key truth of this narrative is "the Son of Man came to seek and save that which was lost." We show how God uses gospel preaching to accomplish this.
