1Peter 2:9 - The Priesthood of Every Believer Part 3
We continue our discussion of the doctrine of the priesthood of every believer which is found in 1Peter 2:9. There are those who ban Christians from the Lord's table until they swear allegiance to a creed from church history. This amounts to rejecting the priesthood of every believer. We also discuss binding and loosing and the keys to the kingdom. Both are the domain over every believer as a priest to God. The NT also teaches that all Christians are to offer up their bodies as a living sacrifice as well as offer the sacrifice of praise. Both of these are priestly functions and for all. Prayer is another priestly function that is for all believers.
