The famous Jewish teacher Gamaliel gave advice about how to deal with the apostles and their gospel. Gamaliel advised a pragmatic approach—to see if the movement flourishes or not. The problem is that he did not advise that the evidence for the Christian claims to be carefully examined. What Christ did was done bodily before witnesses in verifiable history.
