This section of Acts 7 portrays Moses as a type of Christ. Both Moses and Christ “visit” their people for the purpose of their deliverance. Moses chose to suffer with the people of God rather than enjoy the riches of Pharaoh’ household. We discuss the pilgrim motif in Acts 7 and Hebrews 11. Holiness is not now tied to a physical location, but to a holy people who trust in Messiah.
