This message, originally preached on November 23, 2008, unpacks the idea of the visitation of iniquities to the 3rd and 4th generation. The concept of God’s hesed (lovingkindness or covenant faithfulness) is important to His dealings with His people. Moses received direct revelation on Sinai about God’s merciful and covenant keeping nature. We see how what God revealed to Moses is repeated in later Jewish history at key times and places. We also see that when people repent and turn to God they are blessed and not cursed, regardless of their symptoms or circumstances.
