When Philip preached Christ God did signs which included people being delivered from demons. Simon was there and he was one who practiced magic to make himself out to be someone great. Philip preached the greatness of Christ, not himself. We discuss the issue of demons and people wanted deliverance. The New Testament says that through the gospel we are transferred out of the domain of darkness and into the kingdom of God’s Son. Most cultures have shamans who practice divination. God’s people are told not to do so. Whatever problems or issues we have, we need to believe the promises of God and go to the throne of grace.
