In this message we finish discussing the end of Proverbs 3 and introduce Proverbs chapter 4. Both of these chapters are connected by the theme of a father warning his son about following the criminal lifestyle. We learn how there are only two ways in the book of Proverbs: The way of the wise and the way of the fool. These chapters of Proverbs tell us that the natural bent for all children who are born dead in their transgressions (Eph. 2:1) is to live a life of rebellion against God. We learn that true wisdom means that the believer must both understand and believe God’s word in order to leave the path of destruction for the road to salvation.
