Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, Romans 5:12-16
The topic of the corporate solidarity of the human race in Adam and Christians in Christ is a key component of Christian theology. It has been denied by some in church history who fail to account for the whole teaching of the Bible on this.
We show that solidarity in Adam’s sin for all humans is taught in these key passages as well as others. We also show that when a person believes the gospel and is converted, that person is in Christ and is a new creation.
In this class we focus on these important passages and demonstrate that they do teach corporate solidarity in sin due to Adam’s original sin and corporate solidarity in Christ for all who are in Christ through the gospel. We have a robust discussion on these doctrines as well as denials of them in church history.
