Introduction to Genesis and the Torah: Authorship (Part 10)
Speaker: Series: The Torah
We finally conclude our survey of the Torah and its authorship by considering the account of Moses' death (Deut 34), briefly touching on other evidence in the Torah and the Old Testament (Gen 50–Exod 1), and listening to the Lord's testimony to its twofold divine-human origin. His confrontation with the Sadducees also prompted discussion of corporate solidarity, Hebrew rhetoric, and supposed biblical contradictions (cf. the following passages for the Sadducees' rejection of existence after death and the resurrection: Matt 22:23ff; Mark 12:18ff; Luke 20:27ff; Acts 23:6–9).
