In this message, taken from Matthew 4:12-17, we learn how Jesus’ withdrawal to Galilee to begin His preaching ministry was a fulfillment of Isaiah 9:1-2. This prophecy, written 735 years prior to the Christ’s birth, foretold that the region around Galilee would be the first to experience the dawning of the messianic light. We examine in this message how amazing it is that so many Old Testament prophecies are fulfilled only in the person and work of Jesus Christ. We also  explain why Jesus commanded all people to repent in light of the kingdom of heaven being “at hand.”
