We begin by establishing the authority of Christ and His apostles over the church. Their teachings are Scripture. We discuss the need for a sense of awe about God and His Word in our midst. Binding and loosing mean forbidding and permitting. We illustrate loosing by looking at food laws under the New Covenant. Doctrine and teaching are the same thing and are valid means of devotion. God uses His Word to sanctify His people.
