The prophecy in 2 Samuel 2:12-19 shows how Samuel was a prophet who pointed to Messiah. In studying this we learn about the near and far references in Bible prophecy. We discuss individual and corporate implications of the gospel to the Jews first. God always intended to bring Gentiles to salvation through Messiah. We show this by referencing Isaiah 49:6. The importance of repentance is emphasized as a discussion topic in this class.
