In part two of the description of the New Jerusalem we witness John describing the dimensions and composition of the New Jerusalem. We learn that many features of the tabernacle and temple in the Old Testament era were designed to foreshadow the greater glories in the heavenly Jerusalem. We also learn how the twelve stones in the high priest’s breast plate were designed to reflect the glory of the very foundation stones of the New Jerusalem.
