This class explores the nuances of domain transfer through conversion. The Bible speaks of the change from being captive to Satan to freedom in Christ as “coming to the knowledge of the truth.”

The key categories which define salvation as change of spiritual domains are: “from the lie to the truth”; “from darkness to light”; and “from death to life.” We cite various Biblical passages which apply to each of these categories. There are many for each. It is very important to realize that “the whole world lies in the power of the evil one (1 John 5:19). This means that going from the realm of death to life is not a geographical move.

The true gift of life in Christ is available to anyone who believes wherever they may be. There is no point in marching around a territory and claiming it for Christ as some a prone to do. This is foolishness because the whole world is under darkness and those who come to Christ are living in the world along side of people still in darkness.

This is true for all of three of the categories. The number of Biblical passages about this is sufficient to makes us wonder how so many Christians get this wrong. The likely answer is the prominence of false teaching through the media and the lack of careful Biblical exegesis in churches. Once the truth is clear and obvious, we can start thinking and acting Biblically.
