Jesus Is ''The One Who Comes'' in the Name of Yahweh (Mark 11: 1-12)
February 16, 2014 Preacher: Eric Douma Series: Mark
Scripture: Mark 11: 1–12
In Mark 11:1-12 we witness an entourage of people that were going into Jerusalem with Jesus crying out, "Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of Yahweh" " (Mark 11:9). The significance of this utterance is that Jesus is the Messiah, the "one who comes in the name of Yahweh." We will wrestle in this passage with whether the people truly understood who Jesus was. This passage teaches us that Jesus must first be the Messiah who removes our sins before He is our Messiah who will crush our enemies at the end of the age.
